Our annual hydrant flushing has begun. We flush all fire hydrants to
make sure they are in good working order. Flushing also helps remove
any mineral deposits that may have settled in the water mains.
Discolored or rusty water may occur in some neighborhoods following
our flushing activities. Be assured that the water is safe to drink.
Any discoloration will clear up shortly after running your cold
water tap. You will want to check your water before doing laundry
to avoid staining clothing.
