You will receive an itemized bill every month. Your due date is
determined by what part of town you live in. We have seven billing
zones in Mishawaka. Each one has a different due date.
You should receive your bill approximately ten to fourteen days
before your due date. You can choose to pay your bill each month
or you can have your monthly bill paid directly out of your checking
account by signing up for EZ Pay. EZ Pay is the easy alternative
to paying your bill each month. We deduct your monthly bill directly
from your checking or savings account and send you a statement each
month. You save time, effort, and stamps. This simple alternative
is safe, reliable, and efficient. For more information about EZ
Pay, click here.
Your bill will show the current amount due and any balance brought
forward from last month if you were late. You must pay the current
amount due by the due date or the larger amount shown, if paid after
the due date. To keep your account in good standing and maintain
a good credit history with us, you cannot pay late more than twice
in any 12 month billing period. If you pay after the due date, the
late payment penalty is the difference between the "amount due"
and the "if paid after..." amounts shown on your bill. Each monthly
bill includes the current service period, meter readings, usage
since the last billing period and the amount due for each service.
Each service will be clearly identified. If your usage is estimated,
that fact will also be clearly shown.
If you have electric service only, the bill will show your KWH
(kilowatt hours) used. If you have water and/or wastewater services,
your bill will also show the CF (cubic feet) of water used. One
CF equals 7.48 gallons. The water charge is based upon your water
meter size (also shown on the bill) and your usage since the last
billing period. Wastewater flows are not metered; charges are based
on your water usage. Note that Wastewater rates have special billing
rules for summer.
